The Highspeed Belt Conveyor (HBC) is our latest innovation. It allows our customers to transport workpieces with cycle times of 2 seconds and a load capacity of up to 3.5 tons over a distance of 6 meters. The system is extremely efficient, based on a near-complete recuperation of braking energy. During the development of the Highspeed Belt Conveyor, we faced several technical challenges. The most demanding task was managing the high forces and accelerations. By using a new high-performance timing belt in combination with proven Siemens drive technology, we were able to solve these problems. With the HBC, we offer our customers a flexible, scalable solution which can be applied to various use cases and workpieces.
